Suppose $\gamma :S^1\to \mathbb{C}$ is a continuous, non-intersecting curve (Also called a Jordan Curve). Then the interior of $\gamma$ is 1;;conformally equivalent to $\mathbb{D}$, and any such map can be extended to a homeomorphism onto the boundary.
